When manufacturers realize they have a winning formula, there is no reason to fiddle too much when bringing out another model. This is what happened when Dodge released the specs of the Durango SRT and, later that year, the R/T. Some of the specs were carried over to the R/T with just a few changes to put it in its own bracket. Discover some of the best features of the 2018 Dodge Durango. The Numbers Under the Hood All Add Up You never want to be a numbers expert quite as much when faced with a beast of a car. This happens to be the case with the new Dodge Durango as it starts off with a powerful 475 horsepower engine to power the Durango and whatever it happens to be towing along. Drivers will enjoy the powerful V8 engine as it purrs along in typical Dodge style. Speed is not compromised in this beast as it has an impressive 12.9-second quarter-mile. Durango Does Not Compromise on Style When the designers from Dodge brainstorm new ideas, it's pretty obvious that powerful and menacing make up two of the most sought-after design features of the new Durango. "If it works, why change it?" seems to be the motto of the 2018 Dodge Durango, and this means the front fascia and performance hood remain intact to promote the intimidating glare of the Durango. Head lamps, grille, and air vents complete the picture of a striking silhouette. The Interior Enjoys Stylish Finishes There are few things as frustrating as falling in love with the exterior of a car, only to be disappointed by a lackluster interior. The Durango does not disappoint as it offers a sleek and sophisticated interior that oozes both luxury and function. The interior favors a futuristic look with leather trim seats and a leather trim dash. The steering features multiple functionalities to ensure pure driving pleasure and clever lighting provides ambient light during the journey without distracting the driver. The Uconnect system is fully integrated and can use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Competitive Prices for a Model in This Range When it comes to the 2018 Dodge Durango, a high price ticket is expected thanks to all the special features inside and out. It comes as a surprise to many who are on the market for the ideal SUV that the MSRP starts at $62,995 for the SRT. The R/T is a little easier on the pocketbook with a lower MSRP. This leaves plenty of room to add in a few extras and possibly also put some funds towards a boat for the ultimate weekend getaway. Scaling hills and beating traffic are only two of the aspects to enjoy when the 2018 Dodge Durango makes its appearance late summer 2017. Those who are on the fence between the SRT and R/T will have to weigh their options and needs to determine which is the best fit. Perfect for families and weekend getaways, the SRT boasts a towing capacity of 8,600 pounds, which might just shift the balance to its favor. " D O D G E " by Hugo-90 is licensed by CC BY 2.0
