Join us for our Toys for Tots Challenge on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. The event will be held at 265 Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick and will commence rain or shine. During the event, there will be appearances made by Washington Capitals players Tom Wilson, Andre Burakovsky, Philipp Grubauer, and Nathan Walker, Baltimore Orioles players Al Bumbry and Scott McGregor, Washington Redskins players Brian Mitchell, Ricky Sanders, Pat Fischer and Ron McDole. Additionally, the Washington Capitals and Baltimore Orioles mascots will be in attendance, along with Matt Doherty (aka Averman) from the Mighty Ducks. NBC Sports Washington analyst and our Ambassador, Craig Laughlin will be in attendance with his daughter, Coach Courtney, and NBC Sports Washington partner Joe B. Guests will receive one autograph per minimum of $10 Donation (Toy or Monetary, cash/checks can be made payable to Toys for Tots). In addition to the special appearances made, there will be a silent auction and sports memorabilia available for purchase. The Tide baseball team will be selling pizza, water and baked goods. There will be a game truck, a live broadcast from T-Bone and Heather from 98.3 Star FM, appearances by Batman and Captain America, and random door prizes throughout the day.

The summer is a great time to go out and see live bands and music events. With the winter over and the sun shining, summer is the time to be outside and enjoy the nice weather. In Prince Frederick, Maryland, there are several bars and venues where you can hear live bands and attend concerts. The Blueside Tavern The Blueside Tavern is known for having live music events. Every Monday at 7 pm, the Tavern hosts an event called Old-Line Bluegrass Mondays. Admission is free, and this event features live bluegrass music. On other days of the week, other local bands such as Mandy Miller and the Chrome Tears and The Get Right Band play the venue. The Blueside Tavern is a great place to enjoy some live music while relaxing with a beer and some classic comfort food. Prince Frederick Summer Concert Series Every Sunday in June, July, and August, Prince Frederick hosts a live music summer concert series. The cost to attend is free, and the music series features a variety of local bands. The concerts feature different types of music, including bluegrass, oldies, latin, and jazz. Maryland Ensemble Theatre The Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is a neighborhood playhouse dedicated to bringing live and entertaining performances to the community. A flood in 1976 caused severe damage, and the theater was almost torn down. However, companies and individuals donated their services to restore the theater to its former glory, and it was donated to the city and renamed the Weinberg Center for the Arts. Today, the stage hosts everything from Broadway plays and musicals to comedians, bands, and other live performances. 5. Other Voices Theatre While Other Voices Theatre produces four main stage shows and two family shows each year, it's known for its Easter weekend production of "The New Adventures of Alice in Wonderland," which has been continually showing since 1996. Prince Frederick Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram will hold their 5 th Annual Beach Party on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. The event will be held at 265 Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick and will commence rain or shine. During the event, Washington Redskins Wide Receiver, Terrelle Pryor Sr. will be in attendance from 3pm -4pm, and will give one free autograph to the first 225 guests, and Washington Capitals players Kelly Miller, Kevin Hatcher, and Craig Laughlin will be in attendance from 1pm – 2pm, to sign autographs. In addition to the special appearances made, there will be a silent auction to benefit the Calvert Tide Baseball Team, free hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries, and a free 9oz Kona Ice treat from 1pm – 4pm, while supplies last. There will be a family water slide, bounce house, beach setup for the kids, and other kid friendly activities, as well as a random mystery prize drawings throughout the afternoon. The service department will be open from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. Guests will have the opportunity to meet service technicians and advisers, and receive a coupon for a free multi-point inspection. Bring your VIN or registration for a free recall check, as well as review maintenance and scheduling required for your vehicle. Technicians will be available to check and demonstrate oil and tire pressure checks.
