- Travel Late or Early – Instead of sitting in a huge mess of traffic this year, leave in the middle of the night, or early in the morning to avoid traffic jams—you’ll get to where you’re going much faster, and your passengers will thank you… especially if you have kids!
- Pack Wisely – Make sure to bring temperature-appropriate clothing, shoes, and coats, especially if you’re heading north or to the mountains!
- Have Your Car Serviced – Make sure that all of your fluid levels are topped off, your brakes, lights work properly, and that your car is up to date on all routine maintenance including oil changes and tires. - Have Travel Documents on Hand – Be sure to carry your Insurance Card, Roadside Assistance information, and any other vital information, in case of emergency.
- Make All Stops at Once – If you have children, it might be challenging trying to travel with the constant stopping for bathroom breaks, food, and drinks, but, if you stop in a place where you can use the restroom, grab a sandwich and a bottle of water, all in one place, you’re guaranteed to save time instead of loading and unloading everyone into and out of the car at each place.

Best New Features of the 2018 Dodge Ram
As with the past year, Dodge has taken more steps to update their signature pickup truck, the Ram. Beyond a new front fascia that replaces the old cross-hatched grille, there will also be some exciting new limited edition models and several alterations to the general trim levels and options. Regular Trim Improvements
For 2018, Dodge added a rearview backup camera to every trim level. There is also a remote exterior switch for the LED bed lights within the cargo box, which makes it easier to light up the bed at night if you don’t have a flashlight handy. The mid-level off-roading Ram Rebel also received these updates and a new optional leather interior package. Finally, the 2018 models adopt a new front fascia with a body-color grille and inward-pointing nostrils.

During the event, there will be appearances made by Washington Capitals players Tom Wilson, Andre Burakovsky, Philipp Grubauer, and Nathan Walker, Baltimore Orioles players Al Bumbry and Scott McGregor, Washington Redskins players Brian Mitchell, Ricky Sanders, Pat Fischer and Ron McDole. Additionally, the Washington Capitals and Baltimore Orioles mascots will be in attendance, along with Matt Doherty (aka Averman) from the Mighty Ducks. NBC Sports Washington analyst and our Ambassador, Craig Laughlin will be in attendance with his daughter, Coach Courtney, and NBC Sports Washington partner Joe B.
Guests will receive one autograph per minimum of $10 Donation (Toy or Monetary, cash/checks can be made payable to Toys for Tots).
In addition to the special appearances made, there will be a silent auction and sports memorabilia available for purchase. The Tide baseball team will be selling pizza, water and baked goods. There will be a game truck, a live broadcast from T-Bone and Heather from 98.3 Star FM, appearances by Batman and Captain America, and random door prizes throughout the day.
